Thai Nguyen has three more 5-star OCOP products

On April 15 in Hanoi, the Central OCOP Product Evaluation and Classification Council officially recognized three products from Thai Nguyen as meeting the 5-star OCOP standard. They include: Ngoc Xuan Tra Huong Van, Tam Phuc Tra Huong Van (Huong Van Tra Cooperative), and Thanh Hai Tra – Premium Tom Non Green Tea (La Bang Tea Cooperative).

With this recognition, Thai Nguyen now has a total of 13 OCOP 5-star products. Among them, two cooperatives - Hao Dat and Huong Van Tra - each have two products certified at the 5-star level. Thai Nguyen is currently encouraging potential producers to continue improving their products to meet the criteria for 5-star OCOP certification.

Under the “One Commune, One Product” (OCOP) program, over the past five years, Thai Nguyen has identified key agricultural and traditional craft village products and worked to build strong brands for them. In 2025 alone, the province added 59 more products certified as OCOP 3 or 4-star.

By the end of 2025, Thai Nguyen had recorded a total of 620 product certifications rated from 3 to 5 stars. The economic value of OCOP-rated products has increased by at least 20 percent.
