Thai Nguyen's leaders meet with German Ambassador

On the afternoon of April 15, Mr. Duong Van Luong, Vice Chairman of the Thai Nguyen Provincial People’s Committee, received Ms. Helga Barth, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Vietnam, during her working visit to attend the opening ceremony of the Thai Nguyen Climate Park at the University of Agriculture and Forestry, Thai Nguyen University.

At the meeting, the Vice Chairman briefed the Ambassador on several key highlights of Thai Nguyen Province, including its strengths in attracting foreign investment and its development potential in industry, agriculture, and tourism. He also emphasized that Thai Nguyen is a major national center for education and training. He expressed his hope that, in her position, the Ambassador would serve as a bridge to encourage more German businesses to invest in Thai Nguyen.

Ambassador Helga Barth highly appreciated the positive socio-economic achievements of Thai Nguyen in recent years, particularly in attracting foreign investment. Stressing the importance of ongoing projects in the province aimed at enhancing proactive adaptation to climate change and strengthening the resilience of ecosystems and communities, she expressed her hope that the visit would help further promote relations between Thai Nguyen Province and the German Embassy, while opening up more practical and effective opportunities for cooperation between the two sides in the future.
