The delegation’s first survey site was Khuan Bang Hamlet, Cho Moi Commune, which is being oriented toward community tourism under the model of a Tay ethnic cultural village. However, tourism infrastructure there remains limited, with transport links, parking areas, rest stops, accommodation services, and the overall landscape still lacking synchronization. Some public facilities are not harmoniously integrated into the community tourism space.
The delegation then surveyed the traditional herbal-fermented rice wine production area and Shan Tuyet tea cultivation area in Dong Phuc Commune. At present, tourism value derived from these products remains modest, as production is small-scale and fragmented, lacking experiential spaces and linkages with tourism routes.
During the working program, the delegation also inspected areas included in the planned Ba Be Lake tourism sub-zone, including Hua Ma Cave, Pac Ngoi Village, Coc Toc Village, the Khau Qua – Nam Dai residential area, the area along the Nang River, and Dau Dang Waterfall.
The survey showed that these areas possess distinctive natural landscapes, rich ecosystems, and traditional village settings. However, connectivity infrastructure between tourism sites remains difficult, while tourism service facilities are scattered, lack highlights, and have not yet formed an interconnected product chain.
Regarding the Ba Be Lake area, the Provincial Party Secretary requested that tourism planning and investment be carried out with a long-term vision, effectively tapping into its potential while placing strong emphasis on preserving the landscape, ecosystem, and heritage values.
He stressed the goal of developing Ba Be into an attractive destination with a unique identity of Vietnam’s northern midland and mountainous region.
