Mr. Trinh Xuan Truong, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, along with representatives of provincial departments and agencies, and a large number of officials, youth members, association members, and residents of La Bang Commune attended the event.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Loan, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Committee, emphasized that launching the two major campaigns alongside the “Green Saturday” initiative across all 92 communes and wards carries profound political and social significance.
It also demonstrates the province’s determination to improve people’s quality of life, create a modern, civilized, green, clean, and beautiful living environment, and promote sustainable development.
One of the key priorities is maintaining the “Green Saturday” campaign on the second Saturday of every month. Activities will focus on environmental sanitation, waste collection and treatment, improving village roads and residential areas, planting trees, and creating bright, green, clean, and beautiful landscapes in both urban and rural communities.
A distinctive feature of this campaign is its people-centered approach, with residents playing a central role in all activities. Citizens are not only beneficiaries but also active participants in protecting the environment, preserving public spaces, and promoting a civilized way of life, thereby contributing to a renewed and more vibrant image of their hometowns.
