Thai Nguyen celebrates 190 founding anniversary, receives First Class Independence Medal

On the evening of October 29, Thai Nguyen province solemnly held the 190th founding anniversary of the province (November 4, 1831 - November 4, 2021) and received the First Class Independence Medal. Mr. Pham Binh Minh, Politburo member, Standing Deputy Prime Minister, attended and delivered a guiding speech at the ceremony.

At the ceremony, the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee stated that the province is located in the center of the Viet Bac region and has an important strategic position for the region's development and the whole country. Through periods of struggle and growth, Thai Nguyen has always promoted its role as a gateway connecting the Northern Midlands and Mountains with the Northern Delta. Besides, it is a strong pole guarding the ancient Thang Long citadel and the present Hanoi capital. During the renovation process, Thai Nguyen's economic scale is constantly expanding. The province always strives to promote the position as the center of economy, industry, health, education, and training in the region, contributing to the development of the province and the general development of the country.

At the ceremony, authorized by the State President, Mr. Pham Binh Minh, Politburo member, Standing Deputy Prime Minister, awarded the First-class Independence Medal for the province and State-level rewards to leaders and former leaders of the province for their outstanding achievements.
The Standing Deputy Prime Minister Pham Binh Minh awarded the medals and title of National Emulation Fighter to individuals who have many outstanding achievements for the province's development.
Speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, the Standing Deputy Prime Minister recognized and appreciated the efforts and achievements of the Party Committee, government, and people of the province during construction and development.
The ceremony was followed by a unique art program with the theme "Thai Nguyen lights up the future," with many notable performances of more than 100 artists and actors.
