It is one of the issues highlighted by Ms. Nguyen Thanh Hai, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, at the meeting with the representative of Trina Solar Group on November 7, including Mr. Ling Yu Song, General Director of Trina Solar Vietnam Investment Co., Ltd. and Mr. Zhang Yan Fei, General Director of Trina Solar Vietnam Energy Development Co., Ltd. Attending the meeting were Mr. Le Quang Tien, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and leaders of relevant departments and agencies (photo).

Trina Solar is a global leader in the field of renewable energy. It has established 40 branches globally, building a supply chain of solar battery products in more than 100 countries and territories worldwide.

At the beginning of 2021, Trina Solar Limited Company (a Group subsidiary) built a factory specializing in producing solar cells for export and intelligent energy solutions in Yen Binh Industrial Park, Thai Nguyen, with a total investment of 203 million USD. The project has been put into operation stably with a capacity of 256.3 million products/year, with a revenue of about 1 billion USD/year, creating jobs for nearly 2,000 local workers. The Group is continuing to implement a project to produce silicon bars and monocrystalline silicon wafers in Yen Binh Industrial Park with a total investment of 275 million USD, expected to be completed in June 2023.

At the meeting, Mr. Gao Jifan thanked Thai Nguyen province for supporting the building and operation of the factory. The project to produce silicon rods and monocrystalline silicon wafers is actively being implemented. However, it is behind schedule because the electricity system has yet to be connected. Therefore, he suggested that the province pay attention to installing a transformer station connected to the Company's factory to implement the project as planned.

Speaking at the meeting, Ms. Nguyen Thanh Hai thanked the contribution of the Group to the provincial socio-economic development and highly appreciated their investment projects in the province. She said that the two projects of Trina Solar Group helped Thai Nguyen have the opportunity to receive technology transfer and advanced management experience while creating jobs, increasing incomes for labor resources, transforming the economic structure towards modernity, and creating a positive spillover effect on other investors.

She committed to continually supporting, accompanying, and creating all favorable conditions for the Group's production and business activities within the legal framework.

She suggested that the Group make a more specific report on the investment plan as a basis for the province to study and propose central ministries and branches to supplement the electricity planning and support enterprises to complete the related procedures. For other recommendations, she assigned the Provincial People's Committee Party Committee to direct the professional sectors to support the Group.
